THREE-WAY TIE HOLDS FANS CAPTIVE AS FIRST NIGHT OF MODO CASINO PBR CHICAGO COMES TO A CLOSE

Julio Cesar Marques, Cleber Henrique Marques, Joao Lucas Camps Trio of Riders to Earn Top Score in Chicago

CHICAGO, Ill. – A dramatic opening night at United Center ended in a three-way tie at the top, as Julio Cesar Marques, Cleber Henrique Marques, and Joao Lucas Campos each recorded 86.30-point rides to share the high score of Round 1 of Modo Casino PBR Chicago.

 

Julio Cesar Marques initially separated himself from the field, conquering Lap Dancer for the full eight seconds and becoming the first – and for a time, only cowboy to break 86 points Chicago.

 

Cleber Henrique Marques’ ride aboard Hector marked his second qualified in four attempts in his debut season on the PBR’s premier series.

 

Following a breakout year in the PBR Teams league, Joao Lucas Campos’ first ride of the 2025 Unleash The Beast season completed the three-way tie for the best score in round one at 86.30 points.

 

Behind the trio, Eduardo Aparecido claimed the fourth spot, tangoing with Red Hot for a score of 85.9 points.

 

Rounding out the Top 5 on Friday is a tie between Maverick Smith and Heitor Santos Ferreira. Smith solved Black Tie while Ferreira beat Noslaw Extrasauce, each for 85.5 points.

 

The second night of action in Chicago begins at 6:45 p.m. CT Saturday night. All three rounds of Modo Casino PBR Chicago are being carried live on Paramount+ as part of a new five-year deal signed with the streaming platform. Saturday’s action will be streamed in its entirety on Paramount+ starting at 8 p.m. ET.
