Latest Song is a Prayerful Nod to the Sacrifice Made by Soldiers
(Nashville, TN – May 24, 2024) – The Swon Brothers are taking a moment this holiday weekend to stop and acknowledge the immeasurable sacrifice our servicemen and women make with their latest single, “Rifle Left Behind,” out just in time for Memorial Day. STREAM HERE
The quietly powerful tune uses a family rifle handed down through the generations to illustrate the countless stories of tradition, honor, sacrifice, and loss that so many American families have experienced and endured over the decades, through all the conflicts, and to pay tribute to those selfless heroes who give so much. The song was written and produced solely by the brothers and features only strings in the stripped-down, acoustic track.
“There’s no fluff, smoke, or mirrors with this one. Just a couple of guitars and some relatable lyrics. People will love it or hate it. This is my favorite kind of song to write,” said Zach Swon about the moving new song.
“This song takes me straight to my family roots. It says something worth saying,” adds Colton Swon.
The new single will appear on the Swons’ latest project, a new acoustic EP called IMAGINE CABIN SESSIONS, which is due out later this year.
“Rifle Left Behind” is featured today on Radio SoBro’s “NuMu Friday” at 10am CT and 2:30pm CT HERE.
