New duet “You Made A Rock” picks up adds by 14 country stations and already charting on the Texas Regional Country Chart
NASHVILLE, TENN. — After her Top 15 hit Damn Sandwich and her current holiday song Run, Run Rudolph, this Texas fire spittin’ country artist Jordan Rainer teamed up with Texas artist Shayne Porter for the release of You Made A Rock. After just two weeks of its release to Texas radio, this duet is already climbing the Texas Regional Country Chart (currently at #88).
This song, which is available everywhere digitally, was written by Jordan and Shayne alongside hit songwriters Kevin Brandt (Faith Hill, Randy Travis, etc) and Bobby Terry (Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, Willie Nelson, etc). “We knew we wanted the song to be one that got people ‘in the feels’ lyrically and ‘in the mood’ musically, so we went with a classic Marvin Gaye ballad approach,” says Jordan. “We knew when we wrote this song that it would be an amazing single for Shayne, and then it ended up turning into a duet. Shayne is heavily rooted in the blues and old school country, and his voice brings this home in a way that’ll make your hair stand up.”
This song was mixed and produced by Jordan and also features her guitar slingin’ and piano skills. A music video is slated to be released in the new year, which will feature both Jordan and Shayne. “Shayne is an incredibly gifted artist to watch, and is well on his way to making the great state of Texas proud with his approach to country music. I’m honored to call him a co-collaborator and friend, and look forward to watching his career flourish.”
With a reputation as one of the hardest working independent artists, Jordan continues to make positive impressions in the music industry. She is celebrating her most recent nomination in not one, but three categories for the Texas Regional Radio Awards. Jordan is nominated for New Female Artist of the Year, New Single of the Year and Music Video of the Year for her Top 15 radio hit Damn Sandwich. This award show will be held March 26 and 27, 2023 at Texas Live in Arlington, TX.
She is wrapping up a successful year with almost a quarter of a million streams just on Spotify, numerous print and TV placements, including a CMT music video premiere (click HERE to watch), national and international airplay, visited over 20 country radio stations, and played well over 170 live shows this year, predominantly in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and across the southeast.
Jordan is heading into 2023 with a lot of momentum, new music coming monthly, brand new radio releases, and tour dates already confirmed. Be sure to visit her website and follow along with her on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube.
