The EP Features Co-Write by Dreamlined Entertainment Founder Keith Stegall
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 9, 2024) – The highly-anticipated Warner Music Nashville debut EP, ‘A Little Goes A Long Way’ by sister trio, The Castellows, debuted today. This fresh trio brings their distinctive touch to the Stegall penned Leon Everette’s acclaimed hit “Hurricane,” co-written by Keith Stegall (fifty-five #1’s and producer for Alan Jackson, Randy Travis and Zac Brown Band) in 1980 on RCA Records.
This country lay earned gold status reaching #4 on Billboard’s Hot Country Single charts for RCA Record artist, Leon Everette, previously recorded by Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Levon Helm (The Band) during the same period. The tradition continued with the spin by the Austin based The Band of Heathens in 2018. Stegall’s continued winning streak proves great music is timeless. The acclaimed producer/writer/publisher is currently featured in the “Jan./Feb. 2024 Legends Issue” of American Songwriter alongside Sheryl Crow, Peter Frampton, Kirk Hammett, Larry Gatlin and The Zombies.
“Sometimes you just get lucky and write a song that just keeps resonating with audiences,” says Stegall. “‘Hurricane’ is one of those songs I couldn’t be more pleased with this newest rendition.”

“I was born on the rain of the Ponchatrain
Beneath the Louisiana moon
Don’t mind the strain of the hurricane
She come’s around every June
And high black water
She’s the devil’s daughter
She’s hard and she’s cold and she’s mean
Nobody’s taught her
That it takes a lot of water to wash away New Orleans”
About Keith Stegall
For multiple Grammy, CMA and ACM award-winning producer Keith Stegall, music has always been in his life. Born in central Texas, the Stegall family constantly played and wrote songs. It was by chance he met another famous Texan, Kris Kristofferson, four-time Grammy winner and 2004 Country Music Hall of Fame inductee, who inspired Keith to move to Music City. Soon after his arrival, Keith co-wrote his first hit, Dr. Hooks’ 1980 “Sexy Eyes.” Many other legendary artists went on to work with Keith, including Grammy award-winner Helen Reddy, two-time American Music Award and Grammy winning group The Commodores, 1972 Walk of Fame inductee and 2003 Lifetime Achievement Award Grammy-winner Johnny Mathis, and Al Jarreau, 2001 Walk of Fame inductee and Grammy winner.
With his musical prowess firmly established, Keith secured record deals with Capitol Records and later, Epic Records, where he produced the standout songs “On The Other Hand” and “Reasons I Cheat” on Randy Travis’ epochal debut, “Storms of Life.” Keith then started working with acclaimed artist Alan Jackson, who would go on to sell over 50 million records and earn 35 number-one hits with Keith as his producer. Stegall worked with country music legend George Jones on music for his 1999 album. Jones’ album “Cold Hard Truth” went Gold and included the Stegall-produced, Grammy award-winning track, “Choices.” While developing his artist career, Keith served as the Head of A&R for Mercury Nashville, a position he held from 1992 to the early 2000s.
Starting in 2006, Stegall became the producer and mentor for the Zac Brown Band, Grammy winner for the 2013 album “Uncaged”. Defying all odds, the band’s first nine singles went No. 1 on the country charts, and their third album, “Uncaged,” earned Keith and the group a Grammy award for Country Album of the Year. In 2015, Stegall launched Dreamlined Entertainment Group, a company specializing in artist development and record label services. Currently, he is working on a new project with Alan Jackson, in addition to projects with talented up-and-coming artists including William Michael Morgan (Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs chart-topping artist), Bradley Gaskin (Billboard Country charting artist), and Makayla Lynn (Rolling Stone’s “New Artist You Need to Know”). Keith Stegall has the same passion as always and continues painting outside the lines to bring country fans some of the greatest music they’ve ever heard.
