NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Country newcomer Steven Champion announces Tonight Ain’t The Day, his debut EP arriving March 22nd via Average Joes Entertainment. In conjunction with the announcement, Champion shares a taste of the album with the release of the title track, available now for download and stream on all digital platforms. The official music video for “Tonight Ain’t The Day,” directed by Justin Sulham, premieres at 3pm EST on Champion’s YouTube channel found HERE.

“Tonight Ain’t The Day is a reflection on my emotions during the past few years of my life,” shares Champion. “We recorded the project entirely at OmniSound Studios in midtown Nashville. You can expect to see some amazing emerging writers like George Birge and Mae Estes, as well as some veterans like Scott Sean White and Helene Cronin.”

Produced entirely by Dylan Maloney, the EP channels callus-covered tales of holding your own in a wild world (“Hands To Work”); sings of heartfelt family traditions that remind listeners what life’s really about (“Tell Me Your Story”); and corners crooning love stories (“Always”). Featuring compositions from esteemed storytellers like George Birge, Mae Estes, Scott Sean White, Helene Cronin, and Adam Wheeler, the project is brimming with lyrics destined to strike a chord with listeners navigating through various life experiences.

“Dylan’s ideas and visions of how the music should flow are truly a work of art,” says Champion. “He really pushed me to my limits vocally, making me dig deeper with every song, and I couldn’t be more happy with how it turned out.”

The EP’s title track, which serves as the third offering of the project following previously released singles “Tired of Losing” and “Tell Me Your Story,” delivers big-riffed power ballads that straddle a line between arena rock and country grit. Speaking on the single, Champion shares: “I had no hand in writing ‘Tonight Ain’t The Day,’ but man it’s just one of those feel-good songs! From the beat to the words and the flow of the lyrics, it grabbed me as soon as I heard it. It tells a great story and encapsulates the message I want to give with this project, which is why I chose it as the title track.”
