About Tyler Spicer

After achieving a first class degree in music and english literature, as well as a masters degree in sound arts (Bath Spa University), Tyler Spicer entered the music industry as a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, touring across the UK, mainland Europe and USA, with acts of all genres from Jazz and pop, to classical and folk.

In 2014, he began specialising in the country and country/pop space, and performed at Under the Apple Tree sessions run by BBC Radio 2’s Bob Harris, and was the centre-piece performance of BBC Radio Bristol’s Christmas Concert broadcast at the Bristol Beacon (formerly the Colston Hall). He began touring across the UK, mainland Europe and USA with recognised, multi-award winning artists Danny McMahon, Bob Fitzgerald, Gareth Nugent, Elinor Springstrike (SWE), and Newton Country.

In 2021, he was nominated by the British Country Music Association as ‘UK Musician of the Year’, as well as the UK Country Music Spotlight Awards for both ‘UK Musician of the Year’ and ‘Song of the Year’ with “I Won’t Forget to Miss You” by Together Country.

In 2022, Tyler began working with Nashville producer Forest Whitehead (Kelsea Ballerini, Brantley Gilbert, Brandy Clark). He also has a longstanding working relationship with Grammy-nominated drummer, Rob Brian (Laura Pausini, Siouxsie Sioux, Loreena McKennett), and has since enhanced his global clientele across the UK, Canada and the United States.

Tyler currently produces, writes and records predominantly out of NAM Studios, Bath, UK, and runs a music-centric YouTube channel with almost 3 million views, and has various brand collaborations with global brands such as La Bella Strings (NYC), Bluesman Vintage Guitars (TN), Klōs Guitars (UT) and Mooer (China).

Over the course of 2023, Tyler has been working with a successful music business coach to help grow his business, in preparation for a relocation to Nashville. He has teamed up with ace Nashville mixer Todd Peterson, and they work closely together from both sides of the Atlantic. They also have a strong working relationship with mastering engineer Sam Moses (Maddie & Tae, Tenille Arts, Emily Sandé) who completes the team for their projects. Tyler’s recent discography includes tracks by Garrett Gregory (CAN), Nash Stanley (CAN), Daniel Beddoes (USA), and UK singer-songwriter Nicole Shortland (formerly Nikki Ambers; Little Mix). This, along with many yet to be announced, will help his continued rise into 2024…
