NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 1, 2024) – Rising country singer-songwriter Sarahbeth Taite announces her latest single, “First Rodeo,” produced by Nathan Chapman (3x Grammy award-winning producer for Taylor Swift) and Parker Welling (ACM Song of the Year nomination). Slated for release on July 12, Taite once again uses her country music roots to resonate deeply with fans across the globe.

“First Rodeo” is the third single from her recently announced EP, “The Way We Started,” set to debut on August 23. The EP includes other prior releases “Pretty Good Living” and “Diamond And A Baby.”

“I remember when Grant (Vogel) came in with this idea to a write with Scott Stepakoff and I,” said Sarahbeth Taite. “I was extremely pregnant and about 2 weeks away from having my daughter. We only got the first verse and chorus down, but we all knew it was going to be a special song. You know it’s a good one when you come back to it 6 months later and you’re all still excited about it.”

“First Rodeo” is a traditional country tune that cleverly flips the common phrase “this ain’t my first rodeo” on its head, posing the question, “what was your first rodeo, then?” Sarahbeth and her co-writers, Scott Stepakoff and Grant Vogel, use the idea of someone’s “first rodeo” to transport listeners back to the memories of their first love, the kind they believed would last forever. Taite captures the universal experience of putting one’s all into a relationship, only for that love to become their first heartbreak. With a beautifully simple production, “First Rodeo” paints a vivid and nostalgic picture of being young and blindly in love. Taite’s breakout status is further underscored by the support she received for her previous release, “Diamond And A Baby,” from People Magazine, Women of iHeartCountry, CMT, and ACM.

Sarahbeth’s unique sound and heartfelt lyrical storytelling caused her to explode onto the music scene in 2020. Her breakout single, “Long Way,” amassed over 8 million streams, soared to #1 on the all-genres iTunes chart and earned Sarahbeth her first spot on the Billboard chart. Her artistry and authentic connection to fans garnered the support of industry personality and country icon Bobby Bones, who featured her on his show, podcast and music festival. “Women of iHeartCountry” continue to support Sarahbeth, having featured her last 10 songs on Amy Brown’s show.
