Ryan Morgan is set to release his latest single, “Girl Like You,” on May 20th. This song came about when Ryan was at home with his girlfriend on a Friday night. She looked at him and asked, “What would you do if you didn’t have me in your life?” Ryan jokingly went on about all the things he’d be doing if he was still single but ended it with, “Honestly, I’d be out there somewhere looking for a girl like you,” and she melted! Right then, Ryan knew he had a great song idea and began writing. He brought his idea to his producer in Nashville, and they went to work creating the next hit country love song. This song wouldn’t be complete without an amazing video. Ryan connected with an Indiana-based filmmaker Logan Miller (Kriss Films), known for his beautiful wedding films and amazing eye to capture moments forever. Starring in the music video for the release is no one other than Ryan’s beautiful girlfriend, Cait. She was hesitant on being in the video, for she likes to be more behind the scenes, but Ryan had other plans. “I really don’t want to imagine life without her by my side, so making this video for a song about her, I didn’t want it another way.”
Born in the small town of Glasgow, Kentucky, Ryan developed his country roots. He moved to Lexington at a young age, and it was there he developed his love for making music. At the age of 12, Ryan began performing in talent shows and recording music with a guitar hero microphone and a computer. It wasn’t until his mid 20’s that Ryan began taking music seriously. He started connecting with a Nashville (Billboard Top 25) producer Jason Early who saw great potential in his singing and songwriting. They worked together on Ryan’s first few singles and debut EP “Can’t Blame The Whiskey.” The fans started to grow. It’s the support from Ryan’s friends, family, and fans that keep him going. “I just want to impact people with my music the way music impacted me.” He then later connected with a new producer from Nashville who had the pleasure of producing “Girl Like You.” Ryan continues to grow day by day in the country music scene and has no plans of stopping. With over 100k streams across platforms and features on Spotify editorial playlists, this is just the beginning for him.
