PBR DEBUTS AT TD GARDEN AS 22 RIDERS RECORD SCORES AND WORLD TITLE RACE TIES IN FRONT OF SELL OUT CROWD

Dalton Kasel and Marco Rizzo Share World Standings Lead After Both Begin PBR Boston Strong

BOSTON, Mass. – In its Boston debut, PBR (Professional Bull Riders) sold out raucous TD Garden and delivered a thrilling night of competition. Twenty-two riders recorded qualified rides highlighted by New York native Daylon Swearingen, capturing the round one victory.


Swearingen, fresh off winning a championship with the Carolina Cowboys in the separate PBR Teams league, knocked down a commanding 87.70-point ride on Hector on the eleventh out of the night, and the round-leading score stuck as the night’s best.

 

Both Dalton Kasel and Marco Rizzo earned a ride on the night while the latter’s second-best score of the night elevated him to a tie atop the PBR World Standings. The duo each own 148 points and one event win on the young season.

 

After clinching the first-round win, Swearingen, who is from Piffard, NY, expressed his appreciation for the East Coast during the Paramount+ broadcast, saying “I love coming to Boston; love coming to the east coast where I’m from.”

 

Coming in second on the night two weeks after going 3-for-3 to clinch his first career Unleash The Beast victory in Chicago, Rizzo didn’t disappoint in front of the full venue. Out of the gate, Rizzo and Project X tangoed for an 87.55-point ride to keep the momentum rolling.

 

Bob Mitchell earned the third-best score of the night after an 87.20-point outing on Ice Tray. Mitchell currently sits 10th in the standings, aiming to crawl up a few spots after another night of action in the Garden.

 

With the night’s fourth ride topping 87 points, Claudio Montanha Jr. finished fourth after scoring 87.10 points on Mr. Jimmy.

 

Rounding out the Top 5 was the young star John Crimber, riding Wild Card for 86.95 points.
