Richard Childress Racing-owned Carolina Cowboys to host 2023 homestand September 22-24
KANSAS CITY, MO. – As the penultimate regular season event of the 2025 PBR Camping World Team Series opened at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, the No. 6 Missouri Thunder shocked the No. 2 Austin Gamblers, while the Florida Freedom increased their lead in the standings with a win over the No. 4 Arizona Ridge Riders.
The Thunder and Gamblers each rode three bulls. But a pair of huge 89.25-point scores from Maverick Smith and Andrew Alvidrez allowed the Thunder to prevail 266.25 – 264.25. The Gamblers are now two games behind the league-leading Freedom and one ahead of the No. 3 Texas Rattlers.
In their game, both the No. 1 Freedom and the No. 3 Arizona Ridge Riders went 3-for-5 on the night. But the Freedom’s higher-scoring rides in the final three frames sealed their 23rd victory of the season. João Lucas Campos (87.5), Yan Victor Cunha (89.25), and John Crimber (88.5) delivered for Florida to top Arizona’s scores from Eduardo Aparecido (88.5), Murilo Henrique de Oliveira (87.25), and Keyshawn Whitehorse (82.75).
The No. 3 Rattlers, fighting for a first-round bye at the October 24-26 Championship Tournament in Las Vegas, parlayed rides from Brady Fielder, Claudio Montana Jr. and Qynn Andersen into a 262 – 176 win over the New York Mavericks. Making his season debut, 2025 PBR Rookie of the Year Hudson Bolton bucked off, and rides from his teammates Bob Mitchell and Mauricio Moreira weren’t enough to bring the No. 10 Mavericks another upset win.
In a critical “Race for 7th” game to avoid the three-way play-in game among teams No. 8-10 to qualify for the Championship Tournament at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the No. 6 Nashville Stampede started fast with matching 86.5-point scores from Alan de Souza and Daniel Feitosa to beat the 0-for-5 Oklahoma Wildcatters 173.0 – 0.
In the nightcap to close out the first night of Outlaw Days, big rides from Cooper Davis and Clay Guiton in the first and third frames allowed the No. 5 Carolina Cowboys to edge the host Kansas City Outlaws, 175.75 – 173.50. The Outlaws’ rides from Koltin Hevalow 85 and Eric Henrique Domingos put Heitor Santos Ferreira in the opposition for a walk-off win. For seven seconds the Kansas City crowd was going berserk, but Ferriera was suddenly bucked off Live Bait at 7.09 seconds and the Outlaws slept with the fishes, falling by 2.25 points. They were bumped to eighth place in the standings. The sizzling Cowboys have now won 10 of their last 12 games.
The second night of Outlaw days begins at 6:45 p.m. CT at T-Mobile Center Saturday, October 3.

About the PBR Camping World Team Series
The PBR Camping World Team Series is an elite league featuring the world’s top bull riders competing on teams in five-on-five bull riding games during a 13-event season beginning in July and culminating in a Team Championship at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in October.
During the 2025 season, the league’s fourth, each of the ten teams – Austin Gamblers of Austin, TX; Arizona Ridge Riders of Glendale, AZ; Carolina Cowboys of Greensboro, NC; Florida Freedom of Sunrise, FL; Kansas City Outlaws of Kansas City, MO; Nashville Stampede of Nashville, TN; Oklahoma Wildcatters of Oklahoma City, OK; Missouri Thunder of Springfield, MO; New York Mavericks of Elmont, NY, and Texas Rattlers of Fort Worth, TX – will host a three-day homestand. There are also neutral-site games in Anaheim, CA and Duluth, GA.
PBR Teams, which launched in July 2022, builds on the existing structure of professional bull riding with the same basic rules for judging and scoring qualified 8-second bull rides. Events are staged in head-to-head matchups. In five-on-five games, the team with the highest aggregate score of qualified rides among its riders is declared the winner.
