Nick Edwards Set to Release Upcoming New EP “Live at Yellow Arch”

Singer/songwriter and Britain’s Got Talent star Nick Edwards is continuing to see his musical journey flourish and with his reach growing day-on-day within the UK and wider country music scene, he and his band will release the brand new EP ‘Live At Yellow Arch’ on July 26

The forthcoming collection brings together 4 original tracks and a stunningly unique cover of War & Treaty’s monster hit ‘That’s How Love Is Made’’ which will no doubt captivate and inspire listeners of the record.

Currently, Nick Edwards and his band are working to create his debut album, but they want to make sure it is just right and is to the standard they expect from themselves whilst allowing them to continue the journey and build off the success of the Britain’s Got Talent audition. But while fans await that body of work, ‘Live At Yellow Arch’ is the perfect filler.

Speaking about the current process, Nick Edwards says: “Since being involved with such a big ITV show, and off the back of such a ‘memorable’ audition, I guess the naive expectation is that this will all come easy. But I’ve had to work hard for my place, and we continue to do this behind the scenes with my debut album. It started with my EP ‘1960, a significant first step, followed by a string of singles. I feel privileged that I am a regular featured artist on the UK Country scene, but my main focus right now is on producing the best album I can, but we didn’t want to leave everyone waiting. In January, we visited The Northern Cowboys in Yellow Arch Studios, Sheffield. It’s a really cool place, and since it opened in 1997, it is perhaps best-known as the birthplace of the Arctic Monkeys. But it has since produced albums by a diverse range of artists, including Jarvis Cocker, Kylie Minogue, and Goldfrapp, amongst many more.  It set the groundwork for the album; honestly, I’m really pleased to share these with everyone. We have released a few live videos online over the past few months. They have gone down well, so we thought, why don’t we get this music re-mixed, mastered, and released as an EP just to wet appetite as it felt like a bit of magic was made that day”

There’s no doubting that the extended wait for the LP will be well worth it and with this outstanding EP on the way to wet fans’ appetites in the meantime, Nick Edwards’ career trajectory is only headed in one direction and this is definitely straight to the top.
