New Country/Rock Artist Brian Meulen Releases New Single “Heaven in the Country”

Brian Meulen is a new musician who found music during COVID as something to pass the time during lockdowns. He fell in love with playing guitar. Brians wife, Country Singer Annie Vander, shared his joy in music, and pushed him to new heights and new experiences.

In the story of ‘Heaven In The Country’ Brian tells us how he met the girl, and started a life together. From the origins of the two growing up on Chicago’s South Side and meeting in a Pool Hall, to Finding “Heaven In The Country” moving outside of the city into a much more country setting and lifestyle.

Brian says, “For me, meeting in that pool hall was a little bittersweet. That place has a lot of good memories, especially meeting Annie there. However, I was also jumped by a group of thugs there. They shattered bones in the left side of my face and broke my eye socket. When I met Annie there, it wasn’t long before I knew I wanted to marry her. My dream was always to get away from the city and live a more country lifestyle. I just had to share my dreams with hers.” These days Brian continues his music journey from their home far outside the Chicago City limits. Brian and Annie travel to Nashville frequently to write and record music.

‘Heaven In The Country’ was written by Brian Meulen, Annie Vander, and David Norris. The song places Rock and Country influences on the age-old story of how a guy gets a girl and makes all his dreams come true. It’s a fun song with a happy ending, proving dreams can come true even if you have to uproot and make changes in your life to achieve them.

‘Heaven In the Country’ will be available on streaming platforms September 15th.
