Nashvillains Release Critically Acclaimed Long-Form Music Video “There to Catch Me”

“There to Catch Me” Pays Tribute to Late Industry Executive Frank Larry

(Nashville, Tenn.– Jan. 17, 2023) Nashvillains have released their award-winning long-form music video “There to Catch Me.” Directed by Bethany Ashton Wolf and starring Johnny Wactor (General Hospital, Siberia, USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage), the cinematic picture was entered exclusively in film festivals throughout 2022 and is now available for the public eye here

An award-winning picture, “There to Catch Me,” portrays the feelings of loss in a hauntingly beautiful avant-garde short film. The footage follows the storyline of a man recounting his wedding after his wife has passed in several iconic landmarks of the well-renowned Los Angeles Hollywood Hills. Cameras follow the main character through extraordinarily romantic memories as he mourns the love he cherished.

Nashvillains elaborate, “This song is about the loss of something or someone that is irreplaceable. In our album, it depicts the moment when the main character is dealing with losing the love of his life and the future that they longed for together.”

The long-form version of the video has appeared in six film festivals procuring various awards and placements over the past year. Wolf, speaks on the video’s reception and its festival appearances, “As the festival circuit was still recovering from the pandemic, we were happy to have our music video and short film have such a warm, celebrated reception around the country with a Best Short Film win at The Phoenix Film Festival, Best Group Win at The Hollywood New Media Film Festival, and Best Music Group win at the Houston World Festival followed by competition finalists in Dallas and New York. The music video is currently headed to the final round at The Miami Short Festival where we’ll be ending our festival run in the sun & sand this year.”

Along with being an incredible body of work, Nashvillains are using this video as a memorial tribute to well-regarded Nashville industry executive, the late Frank Larry. In collaboration with Murrah Music, Larry has worked with various artists, including Luke Bryan in his early years. Larry worked with bass fishing pros Roland Martin and Walt Reynolds to get Luke and his then-new release “Tackle Box” featured on the Roland Martin show.

Larry worked on various projects over the years with songwriters and developing artists through his music publishing business, A Million Midnights Music, formed with Diamond Rio keyboardist Dan Truman. Two members of Nashvillains, lead singer Troy Johnson and Scott Lindsay, are staff songwriters for A Million Midnights. Nashvillains is one of the last bands Larry was involved with for Fate Entertainment, as he passed away before the shooting of “There to Catch Me” and the release of the Nashvillains first album. The band lovingly recognizes his work and reminds fans that love is everlasting and that beauty is created even in loss.

Signed to Fate Entertainment, Nashvillains’ inception stemmed from the industry veterans’ and musicians’ shared love of country music and rock and roll. Each member has been successful in their own right before coming together for this unique project. Collectively, they have written and produced music for feature films, television shows, and major artists like The Chicks, Keith Urban, Cassadee Pope, James Taylor, and Lauren Alaina, among many more.

Nashvillains look to create a fresh musical landscape by blurring lines between genres, bending the rules of convention, and expanding country music. The sonic landscape of Nashvillains is accomplished by using traditional instrumentation with creative modern programming while emphasizing the dramatic and untold stories rarely touched upon by today’s popular country music.
