“We wanted the tempo and energy to match the storyline and feel like a summer song, not some slow love song,” Oakley states about the song that’ll have you carefree in the summer heat.

Matt Oakley’s first song written with Nashville songwriters including GRAMMY Award winning songwriter David Ray Stevens, “Single This Summer” ushers in good vibes in summertime. Oakley sings, “we were two flames burning, red wine and bourbon, leaning on each other for a little southern comfort.”
