This song was crafted by Kathleen and visionary songwriters Josh Matheny, who has played with Brothers Osborne and Kacey Musgraves; Elisha Hoffman, founding member of The Loving Mary Band, Steven Tyler’s country band, as well as co-founder of Pumphouse Records, launched with Lee Brice and songwriter Rob Hatch; and two-time Grammy winner, singer-songwriter Rebecca Lynn Howard, who has written songs for Martina McBride and Trisha Yearwood and has recorded with Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, and Patty Loveless.

Kathleen says, “’Glitter Gold’ is an uplifting anthem that speaks directly to the soul, capturing the resilience and unwavering determination within us all. ‘Glitter Gold’ is about the human experience, celebrating both the struggles and triumphs on the path to success. The music video portrays the internal battles we all face while striving for greatness. It’s a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there’s always a glimmer of light.”

Directed by Zac Adams of Skydive Films, the “Glitter Gold” music video is a testament to Kathleen’s artistry and storytelling as she steps out on her own as a solo venture ahead of her EP, Glitter Gold, set for release in 2024.

Kathleen adds. “’Glitter Gold’ is about a deeply personal journey where we all compare ourselves to what we see through the ‘filter.’ Those images are not always a reality, and we need to not let societal pressures stop us from dreaming and realize that our struggles only make us shine brighter.”

This single and music video are more than just a song; they’re a testament to the human spirit as individuals grapple with their own challenges that fuel the pursuit of dream.
