NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 26, 2022) – Karissa Ella released her brand new single, “Hometown Bar” today! This song is nostalgic, reminiscent and ponders the idea of the life the budding artist may have had if she had never chased her dreams to Nashville and stayed in North Canton, Ohio, where she was born and raised. In the same vein as Kelsea Ballerini’s “Half of my Hometown” and Miranda Lambert’s “The House That Built Me,” Karissa’s songwriting has blossomed over the last few years and is highlighted on this song by her stellar vocals. Stream “Hometown Bar” here:

“This song is a sentimental one about how special your local bar can be. It is a place where memories are made and lifelong friendships are created. It’s not just about the bar, it’s more about the salt of the Earth people I look forward to seeing every time I go home. In this song, I reflect on what life would have been like if I would have stayed home, and sometimes I get sad that I can’t be in two places at once. I am lucky to be able to chase my dream and have an incredible hometown that makes leaving so hard. I love my hometown so much and all the people in it,” says Karissa Ella.

While they pour me another
I just sit and wonder
Who I’d be if I stayed
All I know is I’ve changed
They’re all drinkin’ off the same day
Spendin’ blue collar money the same way
If they could would they leave
Does everybody dream
Well I don’t know
Nothin’ breaks my heart
Like my hometown bar
Nothin’ has my heart
Like my hometown bar

Karissa has been releasing new music this year produced by Casey Wood, who has credits with legends like Charlie Daniels, Reba McEntire and Randy Travis. Her ear for classic country paired with her unique country tone got her an invite to the Country Rebel ranch to sing a song for Country Music Hall of Famer Randy Travis himself. Watch her stunning rendition of “He Walked on Water” here: Karissa’s latest single “Vintage” has racked up thousands of streams since its July release, and fans will be excited to hear there is more music on the way for the rising star.
