KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Outlaws dominated at their second-annual PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series homestand inside T-Mobile Center, going a perfect 3-0 in game play and delivering a mammoth 90-point score in extra outs to win Outlaw Days.

The Outlaws are now just the third team in league history to win their homestand.

“What a lot of people don’t realize is that this is a lot more than bull riding to us,” said the Outlaws’ Marcus Mast, who clinched the team’s event win in extra outs. “It’s our life. It’s our livelihood. I’ll go to hell and back with these guys.”

As competition got underway on Thursday night in the Show Me State, the Outlaws defeated the Arizona Ridge Riders by a slim 0.25 points, 87.5-87.25, compliments of a crucial first-frame score from team newcomer Wingson Henrique da Silva.

Continuing the momentum Friday evening, the Outlaws delivered a near-perfect game against the Missouri Thunder to win the Battle for the Show Me State and improve to a flawless 2-0 at Outlaw Days.

The Outlaws set the tone early in the game, converting in each of their outs through the first three frames to pull two bulls ahead of the Thunder entering the fourth. The team’s 174.25-point lead was earned compliments of key scores from Silva, Cassio Dias and Mast.

While Andrew Alvidrez kept the Thunder’s hopes of victory alive in the top of the fourth, Leonardo Castro Ferreira clinched Kansas City’s win in the bottom of the frame when he covered Yellowknife for a crucial 87.75 points.

With the victory in hand, the Outlaws then had the opportunity to make history in the bottom of the fifth. Should Koltin Hevalow ride Choctaw Bingo, the team would not only record just the third perfect game in league history, but also the first-ever at their own homestand. Despite Hevalow coming up short of the whistle, the Outlaws still improved to a perfect 2-0 at PBR Outlaw Days, registering a 349.5-259.25 victory over the Thunder.

On Championship Saturday, the Outlaws then went head-to-head with the Oklahoma Freedom, who also entered the showdown with a perfect 2-0 record. After the game remained scoreless for nearly the entire showdown, Ferreira won the game for the team in walk-off fashion, converting atop Mike’s Motive for a key 89.25 points in the bottom of the fifth.

Kansas City concluded Outlaw Days with a perfect 3-0 record and entered extra outs to determine the event winner against the Austin Gamblers, who also went 3-0.

As the event in Kansas City began, Austin edged the Nashville Stampede 169-0 as both Ramon de Lima and Lucas Divino reached the requisite 8.

When competition continued on Friday evening, the Gamblers and Carolina Cowboys – both 3-0 – went head-to-head to see which team’s bid for a perfect season would remain intact.

Courtesy of a key fifth-frame score from 2022 PBR Teams MVP Jose Vitor Leme, the Gamblers emerged supreme, dealing the Cowboys their first loss of the season, 177.25-174.75.

They then earned their third game win in Missouri and improved to 5-0 in 2023 when they beat their in-state rivals, the Texas Rattlers, by a narrow 2 points.

As extra outs began, the Outlaws earned first pick as the team with the higher aggregate score at Outlaw Days. Kansas City looked to Mast aboard Hoka Hey, while the Gamblers tapped Austin Richardson to attempt Swipe Right.

Richardson began extra outs with a 5.3-second buckoff, opening the door for Mast to clinch the win for the Outlaws. Delivering for his team, Mast matched Hoka Hey jump-for-jump en route the 8-second buzzer, marked a mammoth 90 points to cement the Outlaw Days win. The 90-point score was the Outlaws’ first of the season.

Kansas City improved to 3-2 thus far in 2023 and rose to No. 3 in the league. The Austin Gamblers, now a perfect 5-0, still lead the league standings, one game ahead of the No. 2 Carolina Cowboys.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Carolina Cowboys concluded the final night of PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series action in Kansas City, Missouri, with a thrilling fifth-frame win against the league’s reigning Champion Nashville Stampede. The opening frame was defining for the five-on-five showdown. After Kaiden Loud (Kaufman, Texas) failed to convert for Nashville in the lead-off out, Josh Frost (Randlett, Utah) struck early for the Cowboys, giving Carolina an 87.5-point lead when he rode Whiplash (Blake Sharp/Floyd Lowry/CB & Traci Lee) for the second consecutive night. The second frame then featured dramatics in the opening out as Bruno S. Carvalho (Alvares Florence, Brazil) attempted Bandito Bug (Chris Utz/Carey Brothers/Mike Chaney/Blake Sharp). While he appeared to have earned a score, the clock had stopped just past 4 seconds for a slap. The trip immediately went into official’s review and the call was overturned. However, upon closer inspection, while Carvalho had the rope in his hand at the 8-second mark, he made contact with the bull at 7.84 seconds while flying through the air. While Nashville failed to convert, Carolina did not add to their lead in the bottom of the frame as Daniel Feitosa (Guaraci, Brazil) was bested by Magic Harbor (D&H Cattle Company) in a heartbreaking 7.72 seconds. Following a scoreless third, Nashville was awarded a re-ride in the top of the fourth after Ednelio Almeida (Cacoal, Brazil) was marked just 67.5 points aboard Cuttin Torch (D&H Cattle Co./Flinn). Stampede Head Coach Justin McBride elected to take the re-ride, shifting the second attempt to Dener Barbosa (Paulo de Faria, Brazil) in what would be the final out of the game. With the chance to pull ahead by two bulls, Carolina stumbled in the bottom of the fourth as Cooper Davis (Jasper, Texas) was tossed by Ridin’ Salty (Drink LMNT/McCoy Rodeo) in 3.61 seconds. As the fifth got underway, the Stampede looked to their closer, three-time World Champion Silvano Alves (Pilar do Sul, Brazil). Converting for his team, Alves posted an 83-point ride on Sock Monkey (D&H Cattle Company) to pull Nashville within 4.5 points of the lead. Carolina, however, grew their lead on their final out, as Boudreaux Campbell (Crockett, Texas) topped Homeboy (K-C Bucking Bulls/Joe & Nina Webb) for 84.75 points. The score increased Carolina’s lead to 89.25 points with just one out remaining for Nashville. In a must-ride position, Barbosa settled in atop Yelawolf (Blake sharp/Talley Ho Bucking Bulls). Bursting from the chutes, Barbosa was upended in 3.51 seconds, cementing the Carolina win. The 172.25-83 win over Nashville improved Carolina to 2-1 at PBR Outlaw Days and 4-1 thus far in 2023. KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Austin Gamblers continued their white-hot momentum as PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series action concluded Saturday evening in Kansas City, Missouri, keeping their perfect season intact with a 2-point win against their in-state rival Texas Rattlers, presented by Ariat. The first frame featured back-to-back rides for both teams. After the Austin Gamblers’ lead-off rider Dalton Kasel (Muleshoe, Texas) dominated White Face (Flying S/Pedra Bucking Bulls) for 85.75 points, the Texas Rattlers quickly responded, rising to a 1.25-point lead when Joao Ricardo Vieira (Itatinga, Brazil) rode Outlaw (Big Sky Bulls, LLC/McCoy Rodeo) for 87 points. While the scoreboard went unchanged through the second, both teams logged crucial outs. The Gamblers lost their challenge when Head Coach Michael Gaffney called for a review of Lucas Divino’s (Nova Crixas, Brazil) 1.97-second buckoff atop Heater (D&H Cattle Company). While Gaffney thought the bull hipped himself, the judges disagreed, keeping their initial call in place. In the bottom of the frame, the Rattlers were awarded a re-ride after Black Jack (D&H Cattle Co./Flinn) stumbled with Brady Fielder (Clermont, Queensland, Australia) aboard. For the second attempt, Rattlers Head Coach Cody Lambert selected Braidy Randolph (Jonestown, Pennsylvania) to climb aboard Canadian-born Moonlight Party (Jane Clark/Gene Owen). Rising to the occasion for the second consecutive night aboard Martini Houdini (Flying C/Tom Baker), Leme logged a qualified ride, marked 87.5 points to put his team back in front by 2 points. As the last man out of the chutes, the Rattlers’ hopes of victory rested in the hands of Daniel Keeping (Montague, Texas) aboard two-time reigning YETI PBR World Champion Bull Ridin’ Solo (Bill McCarty/McCoy Rodeo). For the third time in his career, however, Keeping was bested by the powerful animal athlete, bucked off in 4.27 seconds to clinch the Gamblers win, 173.25-171.25. Missouri Thunder Earn First Victory of 2023 PBR Camping World Team Series Season with Win Against Arizona Ridge Riders on Last Night of Action in Kansas City, Missouri

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Thunder snapped their dismal start to the 2023 PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series season Saturday evening in Kansas City, Missouri, winning their first game of the season with a one-bull, 85-point victory against the Arizona Ridge Riders. The five-on-five showdown began in electric fashion. Bumped up to the lead-off role for the Ridge Riders, reigning PBR Canada Champion Nick Tetz (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) delivered in mammoth form, riding Sonny B (Flying S/Less Than 8 Cattle Co.) for a monstrous 91.5 points, now the high-marked ride of the league’s 2023 season. The Missouri Thunder were quick to respond. In the bottom of the first, Joao Lucas Campos (Porto Feliz, Brazil) bested Skippy (Skippy & Linda Johnson/Hookin’ W Ranch) for 89.25 points to propel the Thunder within 2.25 points of the lead. As the second got underway, the Ridge Riders challenged the result of Eduardo Aparecido’s (Gouvelandia, Brazil) trip with Tulsa Time (Kelly & Cami Heath/McCoy Rodeo). While Arizona’s coaches Paulo Crimber and Colby Yates believe the bull hipped himself, the judges disagreed, upholding the call as Arizona lost its lone challenge of the game. The Thunder continued their momentum in the bottom of the frame, taking their first lead of the game when Felipe Furlan (Sales Oliveira, Brazil) rode Roc Solid (K-C Bucking Bulls/TCB Ranch) for a critical 87.25 points. Following a scoreless third, the Ridge Riders turned to Colten Fritzlan (Rifle, Colorado) in the top of the fourth to erase Missouri’s 85-point lead. Fritzlan, however, was no match for Bread Basket (TNT Bucking Bulls/Hart Cattle Co.), bested in 3.2 seconds. In the bottom of the frame, Paulo Eduardo Rosseto (Colorado, Brazil) had the chance to clinch the win early for Missouri atop Fierce’s Dirt Nap (Blake Sharp/UB Bucking Co./Fierce Firearms). Rosseto was unable to convert for his team, called for a slap at the 2.89-second mark. As the fifth got underway, Arizona earned a re-ride after Davi Henrique de Lima (Candido Mota, Brazil) struggled in the chutes with Phantom Fury (Jane Clark/Gene Owen). KANSAS CITY, Mo. – In the most dramatic game of the final night of PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series action in Kansas City, Missouri, the host Kansas City Outlaws earned a walk-off win against the Oklahoma Freedom to conclude their homestand with a perfect 3-0 record. As the game began, the five-on-five showdown was a pivotal matchup as both the Outlaws and Freedom began the game with a perfect 2-0 record. After the first three outs resulted in buckoffs, with Eli Vastbinder (Statesville, North Carolina) and Thiago Salgado (Navirai, Brazil) failing to convert for the Freedom and Wingson Henrique da Silva (Navirai, Brazil) tossed for the Outlaws, Kansas City looked to Cassio Dias (São F. de Sales, Brazil) to put the home team on the board in the bottom of the second. While he was initially deemed to have bucked off, the Outlaws’ coaches J.W. Hart and Guilherme Marchi challenged the call, which was ultimately reversed as the bull’s stumble was deemed to have caused the buckoff. After a scoreless third, the fourth began with Oklahoma earning their own re-ride after Detroit Lean (Blake Sharp/Henry Wilson) hit the chutes mid-trip and caused Elizmar Jeremias (Anapu, Brazil) to come down short of the 8. The frame concluded with another buckoff, as the Outlaws’ Wyatt Rogers (Hulbert, Oklahoma) was tossed in 2.45 seconds by Rockville (Blake Sharp/Koe Wetzel/Giovanni/Morris). Before the fifth began, Dias attempted the Outlaws’ re-ride but was no match for Tijuana Two-Step (Blake Sharp/Michael Floyd), tossed in 6.62 seconds. The game then turned to the Freedom and closer Derek Kolbaba (Walla Walla, Washington), but he was unable to deliver for his team, upended by Smoke Down (D&H Cattle Company) in 2.83 seconds. Following Kolbaba’s unsuccessful effort, the game remained in Oklahoma control as the Freedom attempted their re-ride, a showdown between Briggs Madsen (Tremonton, Utah) and Manaba (Joe & Nina Webb/Julian/D&H Cattle Co.). In a must-ride situation, after struggling in the chutes and being put on the clock, Madsen nodded his head with just 2 seconds remaining. Despite a gritty effort, Madsen came down in 3.39 seconds, opening the door for the Outlaws to win in walk-off fashion. As the electric crowd rose to its feet, the Outlaws’ closer Leonardo Castro Ferreira (Cassilandia, Brazil) climbed atop Mike’s Motive (Blake Sharp/High Voltage/Wetzel/Knott).
