NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Music City native Josh Mirenda has unveiled his forthcoming debut studio album, Wind Up, slated for release on June 28th via Average Joes Entertainment. In conjunction with the announcement, Mirenda shares his latest musical offering of the project, “Dancing On A Dirt Road,” a focus track available today for download and stream on all major platforms. 

 

“Making my first album was something I will never forget,” shares Mirenda. “It was exciting, it was terrifying, it wasn’t easy, but it was more than rewarding and worth it. All of the people involved with making this record are the absolute best at what they do and I am blessed to have them be a part of this.”

 

The album arrives as a 13-track collection that was conceived during Mirenda’s ongoing time behind the scenes as a songwriter, where he has landed songs on releases by Jason AldeanDierks BentlyParmaleeBrantley Gilbert, and beyond. After all that time backstage, Mirenda is finally stepping into the limelight with Wind Up.

 

Wind Up features several previously-released singles, such as “Til’ The Neon’s Gone,” a heart-throbbing tune that has pulled in 3 million worldwide streams and earned applause from BillboardTaste of CountrySounds Like Nashville, and more. Alongside “Til’ The Neon’s Gone,” the set features never-before-heard tracks like “Mini Bar,” a whiskey-soaked country romp featuring professional golfer John Daly. Revisiting a song that helped shape his music career, Mirenda also shares an acoustic rendition of Dierks Bently’s “Somewhere On A Beach,” which won ASCAP’s Song of the Year award in 2017. For the project, Mirenda tapped a slew of acclaimed Nashville songwriters, including Ashley GorleyRhett AkinsDallas Davidson, and Brett James, among others. 

 

“Dancing On A Dirt Road” arrives on the heels of Mirenda’s TikTok viral hit, “When She Goes,” which has earned almost 2 million worldwide streams since its February release. Co-written with Cole TaylorKyle FishmanDallas Davidson and produced by Nick Gibbens, the track narrates a tale of chance encounters and instant chemistry, as two souls find themselves drawn together under the night sky. The single serves as the focus track for his forthcoming debut album.
