Gerry Stanek Releases His Version Of Bob Seger’s “Night Moves”

On the heels of July’s full-length LP, Heart in Peril, North Carolina’s Gerry Stanek has released a swampy, electric version of Bob Seger’s “Night Moves.” Stanek says he obsessed over the song in early 2020 and wrote a 10.000-word essay about it. The logical next step seemed to be recording his own version of “Night Moves,” which is centered around funky guitar riffs and an energetic vocal. The song was delivered to streaming services during the last week of August.

Stanek’s LP has gained airplay on college radio stations around the US and has appeared on multiple radio programs in the UK. The title track, Heart in Peril, will debut on SiriusXM’s Underground Garage on September 16th.
