New Faces

(Nashville, Tenn. – February 15, 2022) – Country Radio Seminar has announced a trio of talented broadcasters who will host the New Faces of Country Music® Show, to be held Friday, February 25, at Omni Nashville Hotel.

Well known to both Country fans and industry professionals, Elaina Smith, host of Westwood One’s nationally syndicated “Nights with Elaina,” will serve as the on-stage emcee. Former WNSH/New York morning personality, current PickleJar content goddess, and multiple CMA award-winning personality Kelly Ford will conduct backstage interviews, bringing part of the backstage action to the front-of-house spectators. SiriusXM The Highway’s “Nights with Ania” host, Ania Hammar, will reprise her CRS 2020 role where she took to the halls of CRS and provided her “Woman on The Street” interviews with attendees.

The annual event, which closes out Country Radio Seminar each year, has played a pivotal role in the careers of almost every major Country star and is one of the week’s biggest highlights.  This year’s show will feature performances by the New Faces Class of 2022: Gabby Barrett, Walker Hayes, Parker McCollum, Jameson Rodgers, and Lainey Wilson.

Winners of the CRS/Country Aircheck Awards in 24 different categories will also be revealed during the show. The CRS/Country Aircheck Awards recognize excellence in achievement in Country radio and streaming.

Also planned for the evening, Country Aircheck Publisher and “Country Countdown USA” host Lon Helton will present KFRG/Riverside personality Heather Froglear with the 2022 Tom Rivers Humanitarian Award. CRB Scholarship Chair and Board VP John Shomby and CRB President Kurt Johnson will also award a $25,000 educational endowment set to be distributed to four universities: Belmont University, Middle Tennessee State University, the University of Tennessee at Martin, and the University of North Alabama.

The CRS 2022 New Faces of Country Music® Show is co-sponsored by the Academy of Country Music and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
