Donna Marie is back releasing SOLO music after an extended break. 

Lockdown (out worldwide November 25th, 2022) was written by Donna during what would be our first lockdown in the UK. 

“The story of the song comes from what I was personally feeling and how I was also viewing the world.”

The sound of the musical production emphasizes the darkness and isolation that we all felt worldwide. Drums/percussion are the heartbeat of the track accompanied by earthy guitars that ebb and flow along with vocal chants that represent the cry of people dealing with the hard times, the fear, loss and insecurity of what was happening all over the globe.

Her last single (DELAMITRI’s “NOTHING EVER HAPPENS) was released way back in December 2020 at the height of lockdown and even though Donna Marie took time out, she has still been writing and recording with her band DOVE TIES with Patrick Jordan AND has played a handful of LIVE show with THE SONGS & STORIES COLLECTIVE as well as releasing music with each collaboration.

Donna says, “As an independent artist, releasing music is relatively easy; however reaching a wider audience is difficult so I’d like to ask my followers to share, like, comment and all of that jazz. Sharing my music will help me reach a potential audience that my music may otherwise not connect with.”
