Nashville, TN (April 12, 2024)  – Rising newcomer David Payne shows off his romantic side and has a message for the guys with the wandering eyes on his girl in his sultry new single, “Nobody’s Business,” out at all streaming outlets today.   STREAM HERE

The hot new track touches on the burning desire in a relationship and how strong the connection between a couple is who is so in love they are oblivious to the outside world and don’t care what people think, because they know what happens when they are alone and how good what they’ve got really is. The smoldering, pop-tinged track is a first taste and the leadoff single from Payne’s upcoming new EP, and offers up a different side of the rising singer, who has a wide range of influences and continues stretching musically as he locks into who he is as an artist on today’s exciting contemporary country scene.

“Nobody’s Business” is definitely a switch-up from my previous sound, but even more than that I think of it as really finding MY sound,” admits Payne about the new track. “As a person I’m a little bit country and little bit pop, a little country and a little city, and I think this song and the sound of the whole EP reflects that. I think of myself as “country-ish.” This song is the lead single off my upcoming EP, and serves as a reintroduction for me. It tells the story of a couple who is all about each other and don’t let the outside factors impact their confidence in their relationship. It’s a place that we all strive to be at in our relationships.”  

A newcomer on the country scene, Payne is a Connecticut native and avid baseball fan whose love of the Great American Pastime almost rivals his love and passion for making music. As an artist he counts Sam Hunt, Morgan Wallen, Cody Johnson, and more among his influences, and is putting the finishing touches on his new EP, which is due out later this year.
