Written by Fisher along with Mark Jones, “Daughter of an Outlaw,” uses sonic outlaw country instrumentation to bring out the honest truth that sometimes when it comes to family the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. With a chorus that states – “She plays Johnny Cash, Ring of Fire, and Walk the Line. That girl has been known to get out of her mind. What you see is what you get my friends, that girl right there won’t change. She’s the daughter of an outlaw, daddy’s blood runs through her veins –” Fisher brings families together reminding them that outlaw behavior runs deep and it is a trait that should be celebrated.

Fisher describes the inspiration behind the single, “The song is dedicated to my two daughters who have been with me every step of the way through my music career. I hope this song brings dads and their daughters together and gives them an anthem to enjoy.”

This new track follows the release of two other singles off his upcoming album, “Earplugs and Beer,” and “Cuz I’m Country.” The music video for “Earplugs and Beer” recently premiered on Taste of Country. Fisher is currently on tour with his last album release, Whiskey and the Dog, and in the studio recording his next project. With over 37.3 million combined streams on Spotify and over 43.7 million views on YouTube with past releases, Fisher takes his career a step further with Rebel in the South.

Rebel in the South follows a year of celebrations for Creed Fisher. He started 2021 off strong with a new partnership signing with Dirt Rock Empire, winning a Texas Country Music Award for Alternative / Roots Artist of the Year, and experienced success with several songs on Texas Radio.

Fisher has never been one to sell his soul to trends; he keeps it honest, which means writing songs that real people can relate to; the good, bad, and ugly, and Rebel in the South is another prime example.
