(Nashville, TN. – March 29, 2024) – Powerhouse country singer/ songwriter Jess Kellie Adams is excited to release her spirited new self-penned single, “More Than Home.” The infectious, uptempo song comes from a highly personal place of truth and authenticity. It will speak to your emotions yet have you singing along at the same time. “More Than Home” was co-written with and produced by multi-award-winning, Grammy-nominated artist Dean Sams of country super-group Lonestar. It is already creating a buzz among industry professionals and music fans alike. The song will be featured twice on Radio SoBro’s NuMu Friday upon release at 1:30 & 6 PM  CST. “More Than Home” is available on all digital and streaming platforms. Listen HERE.

“More Than Home” is reminiscent of the popular 90s country sound with a modern edge flair. Adams textured and sultry soaring vocals and harmonies paired with a stellar production are guaranteed to take listeners on an enchanting musical journey leaving them spellbound. The heartfelt lyrics were written from raw emotion and real-life experience. They convey a relatable and universal message about recognizing your roots and how as you mature, you develop a greater appreciation for those roots and all the people and memories you shared life’s journey with during your formative years, shaping you into the person you are today.

“I think we are all guilty at some point in our lives of wanting to run away from everything familiar and safe and just carve a new path. I couldn’t wait to do just that the minute I graduated from high school. I have grown so much from my journey away from my hometown in so many ways. I think the biggest revelation I had was that all the things I was running from were the very things that shaped the person I am and the places and people that inspired me and my dreams. They are more than home; they are my heart! ‘More Than Home’ is my love letter to them.” comments Adams.

“Memories, big dreams
I was a little girl wanting more
Two red lights, one stop sign
I was looking for an open door

To get out of this town and find my way
Wasn’t gonna listen to anyone or anything
Didn’t need this place or anybody in it
Til I remembered

That my first steps happened outside my grandpa’s house
Baptized in the creek where we swam in the summer
My first kiss was in my high school parking lot
Found love and a broken heart
I was taught to pray at the Church of Christ
Cheered for my hometown blue and gold every Friday night
No matter where I go, no matter what I do
Nothing lives in me more than you

Now I miss the old drive-in
Driving backroads with my friends
Bonfires on weekends
I really want to feel that again
I didn’t need this place or anybody in it
Til I remembered…”

Known for her charismatic charm, infectious smile, her brazen lyrics and fierce vocals, Adams is positioning herself for success following in the footsteps of her musical heroes known by first name only who serve as the foundation of her budding career. It’s Adams genuine connection to her real-life stories that reflect who she is as an artist and an individual, which she captures in every one of her original songs. This gift has enabled fans all over and of every age to relate and connect with Adams. Her music is artistic, bold, raw in emotion, and fearless. With every song, she takes listeners on a musical journey from heartbreak, love and positivity, to independence. Family and community are what Adams values most and it is reflected in her music. Adams refers to her brand of music as “grit with grace.” These characteristics are extremely important to her – being tenacious and resilient while remaining compassionate and kind.

Raised by a loving single mom and religiously listening to the Grand Ole Opry with her grandfather on their local country station, Adams’ inspiration has always stemmed from country music. She was raised on Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, and Johnny Cash. Her songwriting began through writing stories, which in time transitioned into song lyrics. Adams songwriting draws from her influences – Dolly Parton, Miranda Lambert, Bonnie Raitt, and Martina McBride, and her heartfelt storytelling is at the root of everything she does. Country music brought her grandfather so much joy so she began singing to make him smile and the rest is history. Adams strives to promote the value of family and how memories made with loved ones are what matter most – something she does not take for granted citing her mother and grandparents as her biggest fans and source of inspiration in following her musical dreams.

Adams moved to Nashville at age 19 to pursue a degree in Music Business at Belmont University and has never looked back. With a guitar in hand and song in her heart, Adams’ remains focused on her mission – to spread love, joy, and excitement with her music and her high-energy shows. The Texas-born, Ohio-raised-turned-Music City resident is quickly establishing herself as one of country music’s promising rising young artists.

Adams’ songs have taken her to the stage of countless venues, fairs, and festivals across the United States. Recently, she played Country Concert in Ft. Loramie, OH where she was on the bill with Ashley McBryde, Jon Pardi, Lainey Wilson, Luke Combs, Neal McCoy, and Niko Moon. She has also shared the stage with top artists including Billy Ray Cyrus, Craig Morgan, Daryl Singletary, Darryl Worley, Diamond Rio, Ernest, Justin Moore, Jason Michael Carroll, the late Joe Diffie, Josh Thompson, Julianne Hough, John Michael Montgomery, Lonestar, Parmalee, Rodney Atkins, and The Swon Brothers. Adams has been featured on CMT, Taste of Country, The Country Network, Billboard Country, The Heartland Network, Canyon Star TV, and more.
