NASHVILLE, TENN. — One of country music’s most promising new artists, Andrea Vasquez, is bringing her Latin-infused style to her new original release, Solo. This song is now available on all digital streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and more.
To capture Andrea’s motto “Country with a little Tajin,” the song Solo was written by her alongside Bailey Morgan and Eitan Snyder with a playful and flirtatious vibe in mind. Andrea says, “We wrote this last fall, instantly knew we had to record this after the positive crowd reaction at the Young Music City Latin Heritage Month show!” The song speaks to those who are discovering their worth and realizing that they deserve better than keeping those who can’t fulfill their needs in life.
The lyrics discuss that choosing to go solo is necessary because, “If he can’t give me what I need, he can’t handle me.” This song was designed to capture a combination of what country and Latin music fans love and put it in a fun song of the summer, resonating especially with Mexican-American heritage. “It’s the perfect combination of country honesty, pop attitude, and Latin flair.”
Produced by Jason Bobo, who has produced Andrea’s previously released music, the song kicks off with a distinctive rhythm that seamlessly intertwines with its Latin-infused lyrics. Andrea shares, “I hope that Latin music fans and country music fans both enjoy this song as it’s a fun summer anthem!”
Andrea is coming off of the success for her last single, Moving Target after receiving praise and support from Billboard and Music Row Magazine, and the accompanied music video charted on CMT Music’s 12 Pack Countdown, holding a spot in the Top 5 for three consecutive weeks. She also partnered with Latin artist Jimencio to pay tribute to their Mexican roots with their release of Si Una Vez, a signature song which was originally recorded by Latin award-winning artist Selena. Her singles and full-length album have surpassed half a million streams solely on Spotify and testify to her trailblazing a path for future country artists who share her heritage.
