Emerging country singer-songwriter and southern Florida native Colton Pointz is proud to announce the release of his new single “Magnolia”.  “Magnolia” is available now on all major streaming platforms.  The song’s lyric video is also released and can be viewed below

“Magnolia” portrays the romantic story of completely falling in love with someone despite the hefty odds and significant obstacles stacked against them.  Despite glaring personal circumstances and an escalating concern that a relationship is not possible; their magnetic pull is strong enough for a blissful endgame.

“Magnolia” is an example of Colton’s widespread wheelhouse of creative endeavors and intentional method of musical expression.  He is listed on the song’s credits as the co-writer with Michael Joyce and the co-producer with Phillip Wolfe.  His writing reflects his lifelong desire to craft music that is centered on seasoned, meticulously evolved, and impactful themes.  In his writing sessions, Colton seeks to express material that he views as not frequently covered.  The production of his sound is equally systematic as he mixes elements of the country, blues, alternative, and pop genres to create individualistic melodies. 

Since 2020, Colton and his hometown band, The Back Country Boys, have become a regional fixture on the touring circuit.  Their memorable stage presence combined with Colton’s pianist proficiency has afforded them the opportunity to open for the Eli Young Band, Ian Munsick, and Chris Jansen.  Currently, Colton is also found performing at Nashville’s top venues.
