When a path seems worn and unworthy, sometimes the only way to proceed towards brighter pastures is to burn it all down and start over.  Brandon Bing, an emerging country singer from Florida, is forging a new road from the ashes of despair with his latest single “Awaystead”.  The hard-rocking, boundary-pushing anthem is available now on all major streaming platforms.

“Awaystead”, co-written by Bing and Noah Gibbings, is a bold declaration of cutting ties from the people and places that are holding you back.  Absent within the definitive lyrics is the element of mulling things over and second guessing.  Contemplative thinking will only lead to backsliding and a return to past habits.  With the aid of liquid encouragement, the narrative optimistically embraces closure and freedom.  “Awaystead”’s intense vocals and heavy rock-laced melody effectively bridges the somberness of the past with the promise of a future uncharted.

The release of “Awaystead” is monumental as it is the first installment of the Black Dirt Music movement.  Bling further depicts the Black Dirt Music movement and “Awaystead”’s placement within it as, “this ain’t just music – it’s a lifestyle.  ‘Awaystead’ is for the ones who’ve been burned, betrayed, and reborn.  Black Dirt Music is what happens when country collides with rebellion, soul, and raw storytelling.  No polish.  No filter.  Just real-life (expletive).”

A crucial component to Bing’s Black Dirt Music movement is his dedicated fans.  Bing ensures that they are recognized and appreciated at every step of his musical journey.  Affectionately known as the Church of Heathens, his fans are the inspiration and foundation of his musical intuition.  Bing’s instinct to go against the grain is reflected by those who attend his shows.  This tight bond creates the feeling that “Awaystead” is as much about them as his own self.  Bing further elaborates on the artistic relationship as, “this song is for the Hoss Nation.  For the rebels.  For the broken.  For the ones who aren’t afraid to feel it and still raise (expletive).”

Members of the Church of Heathens can expect numerous videos to accompany the release of “Awaystead”.  Those of legal age can also enjoy a shot of Bing’s own whiskey, Bangtail Whiskey, while celebrating the musical milestone.
